Located just outside of Ahmedabad, this house has a linear plan to acquire maximum open areas towards the garden in front of the house. Large openings facing north garden bring light and nature to interior spaces.
Main entrance is extended all the way till the parking, hiding the house and the garden. After the parking area the large garden, veranda and entry to the house are revealed sequentially one after another. Leading further, a large courtyard with a temple in the centre is overlooked by other internal spaces making a quite open space.
Over all form of the house consist of three large pitched roofs facing the garden space in the front. Entry to the house is through the central veranda, followed by a double volume hall and large courtyard reveals depth of the house at the first glance.
Inspired from traditional style, contemporary pitched roof design of the house shape an elegant silhouette.
